November/December Schedule + Updates

pumpkinhollowHello all! Rose here! Hope everyone had an awesome Halloween! We've been working hard to gear up to some really cool stuff this October, so we really hope everyone enjoyed some spooky Halloween goodness with our two-part event. I just have a few quick things I wanna go over:
-Holiday Season Event Schedule-
As you all are probably aware already, November and December are particularly busy months for everyone, especially us folks in the US. As such, we've been giving some thought to scheduling. Some of you may also be aware that in the next few months, another game that has a fair bit of overlap with ours, Come Sail Away, is going to be entering its endgame. A good number of people from Sail are planning to migrate here and this is also a factor in some of the decisions that are being made.
Initially, the plan for November was for our early-month event to be Voyage of the Hollow Men and our late-month event to be Railway to Hell. However, I'm struggling to find a placement for both events that isn't a) too close to events in other months, b) too close to each other, and c) conflicting with holidays. It's been like a bad game of Tetris.
So! Here's the plan.
For November, we will have our reprint of TDM 3 - It Came From Beyond the Veil! release in tandem with the EMP and our November Event - Railway to Hell release mid-month on the 15th.
For December, we will have a single December Open Event - The Dead of Winter, which will primarily serve as the main event for the month but will also be public and available for use in Test Driving (though I don't suspect too many new players will be looking in December). There will also be a Mini Event towards the end of the month for a gift exchange.
During both months, players are encouraged to use this free time to explore, make their own open posts, and invest time in their characters' day to day lives such as their jobs. We will also throw some random events at people!
In January, we'll return to our usual schedule with a Jan/Feb TDM. Voyage of the Hollow Men will be a larger affair and serve as a sort of welcome party for our Come Sail Away migrants, most likely taking place in late February through early March. As for that exactly will be in the intervening months, that's TBD, but there's where we are for now!
You'll see the changes reflected in the calendar when I update it for November, which is next on my task list at the time of writing.
-General Updates-
In addition to the calendar, there's just a few other things I wanted to touch on while I have ya!
While it wasn't originally my plan, a handful of players (myself included if I'm honest) have sort of cut a desire path toward more interaction from NPCs such as the goddesses and demon princes. As such, players may see more direct interactions very occasionally via two special journals,psalmofseasons and daemoniumexmachina. Additionally, all characters have both a goddess and a demon that favors them based on their personality and skills. Establishing a relationship with one's patron goddess or demon may result in Boons, which are favors and gifts. Boons from demons may be more significant, but will often come with drawbacks. My plan is to instate inboxes for each over this weekend, so feel free to experiment!
Additionally, I'm planning to add easy access to previously-discussed lore to our main nav. We're also planning to add a permanent Community Board to have as an archive for player-led advertisements with ongoing relevance. If you have other suggestions on stuff that can be added or adjusted on the nav, please let us know!
With RPanons and the EMP going up again soon, I'd also like to remind everyone that we do have referral bonuses for folks who suggest the game to their friends or put up ads seeking castmates!
Ghost Pokémon are still adoptable as pets until the end of November! Get up to two permanent buddies before the rest move on!
And last but not least, this is your friendly reminder to please turn in your AC by Nov. 7th. And don't forget to ask for an extension if you need one!
