The Monthly Happenings

- Activity check is now open, from the 1st to the 7th!

- Pen-pal sign-ups for January are open, running from the 1st to the 7th! Matches will be assigned on January 8th. (Please note, due to some trouble in December in getting it launched on time, if you signed up for December, you will already be in the lottery this month!)

- The Calendar has been updated! Check it out to see when we've laid everything out for the month.

- The plotting post for the month is up! Feel free to use it to coordinate plans with your fellow players throughout the month.

- The Winter TDM reprint will be going up on 8th!

Mod Notes

Happy New Year, everybody!

It's hard to believe that it's 2025 already, and that we're getting closer to two years of Pumpkin Hollow! The time really does fly. We all hope that the new year is kind to everybody!

Here's our mod notes for the month:

Metaplot Pacing Adjustment
As a quick note: this month, initially, had been our target for an event that would result in the killing of Demon Prince Efrain. To give him a little more time to cause some trouble, we've delayed this to March!

Updated Game Discord Policy
Our last major announcement for the month is only pertinent to members of our Discord server. While we are happy to offer a space to players just joining us before they officially app in and allow folks who've temporarily dropped to hang out, we've noticed that we've gathered a bit of a crowd of totally inactive folks. In the interest of some start of the year housekeeping, the mods have gotten together to create some new rules about when it is or is not appropriate to lurk.

Non-members with intent to join the game are permitted to stay for three months without initiating RP (on the TDM or by joining the game) before they are swept if they are active in the server, but will be swept from the server after one month of silence.

Former members can stay indefinitely, provided they expressed an interest in rejoining at a later time and filled out the drop paperwork.

Former members who did not declare intent to rejoin at a later time will be asked. If they do not plan to rejoin the game in the foreseeable future, they may continue to hang out as long as they're active, but will be swept after one month of silence.

Former members who were swept from the game due to inactivity are swept from the server by default.

Anyone who is swept, unless specifically otherwise stated, is completely welcome to come back to the server at any time! Swept members will never be banned unless due to extenuating circumstances. However, this server is ultimately for people who are RPing with us or planning to RP with us. We ask that those who are here are honest with themselves about their intentions and their ability to RP with us.

Current lurkers have 1 month from the time of posting this adjustment (until Feb 2) to take any necessary actions before sweeps begin. After this time, mods will be performing checks periodically. Anyone who is lurking legitimately will have their Discord display name edited to have characters removed and will have the lurker role applied to them.

We're sorry for any trouble caused by these new rules! They're being added in the interest of having an accurate idea who is playing with us and of ensuring the server is being used for its intended purpose. Thanks!
